The Summer of Love!

For three months during the summer of 2013, the beach resort of Knokke-Heist in Belgium hosted the annual International Cartoon Festival. The main attraction at the prestigious event was the very first exhibition of Love Is... anywhere in the world! The exhibition showcased the origins of the feature from the private love story that inspired the original illustrations to the international success of Kim's drawings on the world stage. The exhibition featured never-before-seen items from the Love Is... archives, including the very first illustration of the Love Is... girl that Kim drew on a postcard and sent to Roberto.

The success of the exhibition, with a record attendance for the festival of over 73,000 visitors, just goes to show that Love Is... is as relevant now as it was back in its heyday.
